5 Reasons Why Apple’s CSR Strategy Doesn’t Work
Last week in a very interesting article on HBR Blog, Prof. Gregory Unruh of Harvard offered the explanation that Apple has a reactive CSR strategy, which he described as the "Little Dutch Boy" Strategy. In other words, Apple bothers to act only when there’s a complaint or protest against the company, hoping like the little Dutch boy that poking its fingers in the holes in a dyke will stem the flow and let the company go back to concentrate on designing and selling great products. Campus Crest to add solar panels for student housing
Campus Crest Communities Inc. has teamed with SolarCity, a provider of clean-energy products and services, to install more than 9,000 solar panels on its student-housing communities in Greeley, Colo.; Flagstaff, Ariz.; and Las Cruces, N.M. S. Korea turns to Portland for green city expertise
A high-ranking delegation from the South Korean government was in Portland Thursday to sign a memorandum of understanding with Portland Mayor Sam Adams formalizing a partnership to work together on sustainable city development. GDiapers, Keen, New Seasons get kudos for being good

The Green Chamber Hosting the Great Green Business Search

Save the date for the First Annual Great Green·Business Search and Showcase hosted by The Green Chamber happening on May 10th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at ASU SkySong.

What is it?

A one day event showcasing Arizona entrepreneurs and innovators.

Who should attend?

Anyone interested in sustainability, clean tech or low carbon innovation: investors, entrepreneurs, academics, government agencies, business owners, elected leaders and the general public.

What is the format?

Watch small businesses and entrepreneurs give their best pitches to be named Arizona's Great Green Business of 2012 for cash prizes; listen to successful Arizona entrepreneurs and financiers discuss how to build and finance a green startup; and network with leaders of Arizona's green economy showcasing their companies while touring Arizona's newest incubator for innovation.
